Weekly Prep Thread 8 June - 14 June

Have been extremely busy at work this past week and haven't prepped hardly at all.

I have approximately one and a half metric buttloads of cucumbers, peppers, and tomatoes harvested over the last few days to put up tomorrow.

Scored a plastic 55 gal. water barrel for the cost of hauling it off.

Shot a squirrel Friday that decided to make my strawberries his last meal. Reminded me that I need to get some 22 shorts, 'cause 22lr still makes a pretty nice report in a subdivision.

Wish we'd get some rain.

How goes it with y'all?

Watching tomatoes and peppers come to fruit. Keep watering in 100 degree heat.

Big Lots has 5gal Blue Water Jugs with Molded handles for $5.00. Only got one 'cause that is all that was left. Will check for more.

10# White Jasmine at $4.99, god loves you, Asian Market.

Still need 55gal food-grade barrels for next to zero cost.

Nah, I let the dogs have it. Too small to mess with. I was going to leave him by the berries as a warning to the others, but mizNCO wasn't having it.

How much is a metric buttload? Is that similar to an oodle?

I'm in MN and really just got our gardening going strong. Hearing about your stinking buttloads of veggies down there is SC makes me wanna live-trap all our neighborhood squirrels and ship them down to you.:D

I planted 4 more tomato plants and a big assortment of hot peppers this weekend. Placed a Taurus model 94 on hold to be picked up in a week. I've got plety of ammo for it but will probably pick up a half a metric buttload just in case, if you don't mind me using your scientic terminology.:D

Being an American living in Canada I am able to convert back and forth quite easily. Normally the metric sizes are the larger; not so with the buttload. Generally speaking it is the US using the non-metric imperial measurements while the europeans are inclined to go metric all the way... The american buttload is much larger than the european as the American median butt size is over 3 times that of a euro-butt. 3.25 if you want to split hairs.
